New Delhi: 'Animal' has released in theatres today. The Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor starrer is all set to finish the first show soon and audiences reviews will begin pouring in soon. Before that happens, here is a glimpse of a 'Animal' first half review.

Animal First Half Review

The movie opens with powerful industrialist Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor) attempting to discipline his unruly child who follows his own rules and logic, which at times seem perfectly reasonable but goes above and beyond when it comes to family. The film's plot, which revolves around Ranbir's love (read: obsession) with his father and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's pledge to make a "real" violent film, was amply revealed in the trailer. After receiving backlash for his flicks Arjun Reddy and the Hindi version Kabir Singh, the director refused to alter his character aesthetic and, at last, created a new Alpha male character in Ranbir's Ranvijay Singh.

The male protagonist of Animal, who tries to win his lover over by explaining to her the biological requirements for a woman to be capable of being a fit mother, will look familiar to anyone who has seen Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh.

He is almost the same guy now with more money and power.

Furthermore, power is known to breed more recklessness than responsibility—at least that's what Bollywood films have taught us.

The idea that responsibility and power go hand in hand is  exclusive to superhero movies. However, the goal of our hero is to safeguard his family at any costs. That is nothing that our previous films haven't already shown and applauded. Vanga, however, attempts to defend his character with a heart of innocence and an idealistic standpoint, thus glorifying the carelessness that he exhibited.

In other news, 'Sam Bahadur' starring Vicky Kaushal has also released alongside 'Animal' to good word-of-mouth reviews. Audiences will have to wait and see how the two films perform at the box office.
