New Delhi: The advance booking of 'Animal' indicates that Ranbir Kapoor's run at the box office with the movie is probably going to continue. Within hours of the advance ticket sales for 'Animal' opening, the movie has already brought in Rs 3.4 crore, according to Sacnilk.

Not even a day has passed since Animal's advance reservations were made public. Yet, the movie has already sold Rs 3.4 crore tickets in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi combined. With Rs 3.6 crore, Hindi had the most advance bookings, followed by Telugu (Rs 33 lakh) and Tamil (Rs 13,510).

The Telugu version's advance booking is considerably more than the Tamil version due to the impact of director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and leading actor Rashmika Mandanna on the Telugu-speaking audience. However, given Ranbir's enormous Hindi market, particularly in light of the recent box office successes of Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' from last year and Luv Ranjan's 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar' from this year, Ranbir is certain to match or possibly surpass those figures with 'Animal'.

The filmmaker, best known for the Vijay Devarakonda film 'Arjun Reddy', as well as the Hindi version of the same film, 'Kabir Singh', starring Shahid Kapoor, stated his joy at seeing Kapoor become the complete opposite of himself in the part of Arjun Singh in 'Animal'.

"Ranbir is a great actor, he is in a different league altogether. He is very original. I feel he is a mix of so many actors, it is wrong to compare to other actors, (But) I feel he is a mix of Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Kamal Haasan. This man (Ranbir) has no limitation,” Vanga told PTI.

The makers have released the first trailer for the film. A turbulent relationship between Ranbir's Arjun Singh and his father Balbir Singh, played by Anil Kapoor, is depicted against the backdrop of a violent world. Anil and Ranbir Kapoor's father and son relationships appear to be the main focus of 'Animal'. There are some really dramatic battle sequences between Bobby Deol and Ranbir Kapoor at the end of the trailer. Bobby Deol is the main antagonist, and Rashmika Mandanna is Ranbir's romantic interest.
