New Delhi: Actors Anil Kapoor and Anupam Kher visited the Dehradun Hospital where cricketer Rishabh Pant is being treated to know about his condition. After the cricketer was injured in a deadly car accident, the two Bollywood celebrities paid him a visit on Saturday and confirmed he is now "stable."

In this mishap, which was caused by hitting the divider, Rishabh Pant sustained serious injuries. Talking to the news agency ANI, Anupam Kher and Anil Kapoor revealed that Pant is currently doing better. "We met him & his mother. He is stable. Appeal to people to pray for him so that he gets well soon," they said in a joint interview.

On Friday, the Indian cricketer's car got involved in an accident. On the Roorkee-Narsan border, close to Hammadpur Jhal, his vehicle was subjected to a collision. The accident took place as Pant fell asleep while driving. After the crash, the car caught fire. Rishabh Pant has been admitted to Dehradun's Max Hospital.

Rishabh Pant was saved by bus conductor Paramjeet and driver Sushil Kumar, who reported that the cricketer's car caught fire 5-7 seconds after they got him out.

“As we dragged him (Rishabh Pant) out, the car caught fire & burned down within 5-7 secs. He had major injuries on his back. We enquired about his personal information & that is when he said he is an Indian team cricketer,” Paramjeet told ANI.

In a previous statement, the BCCI stated that Pant will have an MRI to determine the extent of his injuries.

"Rishabh has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back. Rishabh’s condition remains stable, and he has now been shifted to Max Hospital, Dehradun, where he will undergo MRI scans to ascertain the extent of his injuries and formulate his further course of treatment," a part of BCCI's statement read.
