Ever since Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati' had been in the making, the controversies' surrounding the movie doesn't seem to stop.
Now, the lead actress of the film is angry and frustrated with ferity the film has been receiving.
Taking to Twitter, Deepika posted a series of tweets slamming the protesters for destroying an artist's work of Padmavati's rangoli.
"Absolutely heart breaking to see the recent attack on artist Karan and his artwork!disgusting and appalling to say the least!," she wrote alongside the badly destroyed rangoli artwork.
"Who are these people? Who is responsible for their actions? For how long are we going to let this go on?," the actress continued. "Allow them to take law into their own hands & attack our freedom & right to individual expression time & again!?"
The actress also reached out to Union Minister Smriti Irani by tagging her in one of her tweets, writing: "This has to stop NOW & action must be taken! @smritiirani"

Irani, recently assured the smooth released of the much anticipated movie 'Padmavati' which also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the leads.
