The number of COVID-19 cases has witnessed a surge in the past few weeks. While the government has implemented several restrictions to combat the further spread of the virus, Bollywood celebs are requesting their fans to follow social distancing and wear masks as a precautionary measure. Actor Amit Sadh has decided to go offline amid the spike in Coronavirus cases. He penned a long note on social media to stress on the importance of helping people and not turn a blind eye towards them, especially during the pandemic.

The ‘Kai Po Che’ star said that he would not post quotes, pictures or reels on Instagram as he didn’t wish to show his ‘privileged’ life on social media. He promised to stay in touch with fans through direct messages if a ‘need for a conversation arises’.

"The recent events have me reflect on whether I should be posting my pictures and reels. Especially when my city Mumbai and the entire state is under strict COVID-19 restrictions, the whole country is going through a difficult time. I believe my posts and reels of the gym sessions, the silly things I do will not heal or entertain anyone. This is not a criticism to anyone, I personally feel the best way to be sensitive about a situation is to pray and hope for things to get better," Sadh wrote.
