Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta’s accusations of sexual harassment against Nana Patekar have sparked #MeToo campaign in India with women accusing several prominent personalities including known names like 'Queen' director Vikas Bahl, Rajat Kapoor, singer Kailash Kher, AIB comedians Utsav Chakraborty, Gursimran Khamba among others. Recently Vinta Nanda, the producer-writer of various hit shows of 90’s including 'Tara', accused veteran actor Alok Nath of raping her twice 19 years ago. Now, the much-loved 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun' actor has finally reacted on the rape allegations against him.

Speaking about the same, Alok Nath told ABP News reporter Ravi Jain that, "Neither I am denying this nor do I would agree with it. It (rape) must have happened, but someone else would have done it. Well, I do not want to talk much about it as for the matter if it has come out, it will be stretched.

Denying the rape accusations against him, Alok Nath thinks that all this has happened with him because of the ongoing #MeToo movement in India and added that, "However, we only have to hear to women's stand because they are considered weak."

On being asked if his 'sanskaari' image will get affected after the allegations against him, he further said that, "What do I have to do with people? People will say anything to spoil the image. Leave my image, whatever has been said, it is absurd."

He also spoke about his equation with his 'Tara' writer-producer and said, "At one time she used to be such a good friend... today she said such a big thing. In a way, it was me who made her what she is."

At last, Alok Nath said that, "It is useless to react on the allegations as in today's world whatever a woman says, only that will be considered. In such a situation, it would be wrong to say anything."
