Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bollywood celebs and commoners have showered Neeraj Chopra with their congratulatory messages on social media after he clinched the gold medal in Javelin Throw at the Tokyo Olympics. The 23-year-old created history as he became the second Indian to secure an Olympic gold in a singles event. 


Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to congratulate Chopra for making India proud at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. “It’s a GOLD. Heartiest Congratulations. @Neeraj_chopra1 on creating history. You’re responsible for a billion tears of joy! Well done #NeerajChopra! #Tokyo2020," he wrote on the micro-blogging site. 


Akshay’s tweet sparked a meme-fest on Twitter as a section of users started joking about the ‘PadMan’ star making a new biopic on Neeraj Chopra. Meme makers had a field day as they shared rib-tickling memes on social media.  


One Twitter user shared a throwback photo of Akshay wherein he can be seen holding a wooden stick. He tweeted, "Leaked picture of akshay kumar from the sets of  #NeerajChopra's biopic." We wonder how the actor will react to this.

Khiladi Kumar also has ‘Sooryavanshi’ lined-up for release. The action drama co-starring Katrina Kaif has been delayed twice due to the COVID-19 crisis.  


In addition to 'BellBottom' and 'Sooryavanshi', the National Award-winning actor also has 'Ram Setu', 'AtrangiRe', 'Rakshabandhan' and 'Bachchan Pandey' in pipeline.
