Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s daughter Nitara turned a year older on Saturday (September 25). On the occasion of her ninth birthday, Twinkle penned a heartwarming post for Nitara on social media. The actress-turned-author shared an adorable photo with the birthday girl along with a sweet note. 


Twinkle shared a glimpse from Nitara’s birthday celebrations on her official Instagram handle. She posted a photo wherein she can be seen kissing Nitara’s forehead. The star kid, who wore a multi-coloured outfit, sported a birthday hat. 


Khanna wrote, “Nine years of having this little girl with a serious face and a wicked sense of humour in my life. The other day after I greeted the pavement with my bottom as usual, she giggled, ‘Mama, you say I am clumsy when I drop my pencil but you keep dropping your whole body down.’ May she grow up holding laughter in her eyes forever.”

The 'Mission Mangal' star shared an adorable photo with Nitara wherein she can be seen hugging him. He wrote, "No bigger joy in the world than a daughter’s tight hug. Happy Birthday, Nitara - grow up, take on the world, but always stay Papa’s precious li’l girl too. Love you." 


The photo went viral on social media in no time. It has received over 28 lakh likes on Instagram.



Akshay and his family members are currently out of India as he is busy shooting for his upcoming film in the United Kingdom. Akshay and Twinkle, who got married in January 2001, welcomed Nitara on September 25, 2012. They are also parents to Aarav Bhatia.


On the professional front, Khiladi Kumar will be next seen in 'Sooryavanshi'. The action drama co-starring Katrina Kaif will hit the silver screens on Diwali 2021. 


Akshay and Rohit Shetty revealed the new release date of 'Sooryavanshi' after the Maharashtra government announced that cinema halls and theatres will reopen in the state from October 22, 2021. 


Akki shared a photo with Shetty, Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn to inform the fans about the same. He wrote, "So many families would be thanking Sh Uddhav Thackeray today! Grateful for allowing the reopening of cinema halls in Maharashtra from Oct 22. Ab kisi ke roke na rukegi - AA RAHI HAI POLICE."
