Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn penned a heartfelt post on his late father Veeru Devgan’s birthday anniversary on Friday (June 25). The ‘Singham’ star went down the memory lane and shared a throwback photo with his dad on social media. He expressed grief and said that his life isn’t the same after Veeru’s demise.
The ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ can be seen posing with his father in the throwback snap. “I miss you everyday. More so today. Happy birthday Papa. Life hasn’t been the same since,” Ajay Devgn tweeted.
One fan shared a throwback photo of young Ajay with Veeru Devgan while responding to actor's tweet. He wrote, "Happy birthday veeru dengan sir and miss you Aap jaise action director ki hamesha yaad aaygi (We will always remember an action director like you.)"
Veeru Devgn passed away on May 27, 2019 after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was the action director for several hit films like was 'Phool Aur Kante', 'Mr. Natwarlal and 'Shahenshah', to name a few. Veeru also directed 'Hindustan Ki Kasam', which starred Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan.
Earlier in the day, Ajay announced that he would produce the Hindi remake of Naandhi'. The 'Golmaal' star has joined hands with South producer Dil Raju to produce the remake of the Telugu hit flick. The courtroom drama hit the silver screen in February 2021.
On the professional front, Ajay Devgn will be next seen in 'Bhuj: The Pride Of India'. He also has 'Maidaan', 'Mayday' in his kitty. The 'De De Pyaar De' actor is directing 'Mayday', which also stars Big B and Rakul Preet Singh.
