New Delhi: Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s upcoming film ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ is expected to mesmerise viewers. To avoid competing with the very successful ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, the film's release date has been moved from July 5, 2024, which was the original date. The distribution community and exhibitors allegedly requested the change in release date so that the film wouldn't compete with ‘Kill’ by Karan Johar and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ by Nag Ashwin.

‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ release date

The revised release date was announced on social media by Ajay Devgn and filmmaker Neeraj Pandey. ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ will finally hit theatres on August 2, 2024, as fans have been waiting for.

The onscreen chemistry between Tabu and Ajay Devgn has been a much anticipated topic among fans ever since the film's poster launch. In this romantic comedy, which takes place between the years 2000 and 2023, we see the reuniting of the star-crossed lovers Basu and Krishna. A peculiar romance, along with criminal activity and violent scenes, is promised in the plot.

Director Neeraj addressed the most popular question—why did he not decide to de-age Ajay and Tabu instead of casting Shantanu and Saiee as the younger characters?—in an interview with News18. He said, “We were very clear from day one that there would be two different sets of actors to portray two age groups because that fits the story and that, I think, is the beauty of it. People change after 24. Our physical appearance changes.”

Sayaji Shinde, Saiee Manjrekar, Shantanu Maheshwari, Jimmy Shergil, Tabu, and Ajay Devgn are all part of the ensemble cast. Narendra Hirawat, Sangeeta Ahir, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Shital Bhatia are the producers, while Neeraj Pandey is the director.
