Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is winning hearts for her brilliant performance as Baby Singh in ‘Fanney Khan’. The Atul Manjrekar directorial co-starring Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao has started on a decent note the box office. Aishwarya’s chemistry with Rao has become the talk of the town ever since the film’s trailer was unveiled. The former Miss World has given some of her biggest hits with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, be it ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ or ‘Devdas. Speculations were rife that Bhansali wanted to make ‘Bajirao Mastani’ with Aishwarya and Salman Khan; however, the film couldn’t be made with the former couple because of their history. The epic saga was made with Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone and it turned out to be a massive hit.

Fans have been waiting to see Aishwarya collaborate with Bhansali for a new project since quite some time. The ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ actress opened up on working with the ace director for a film, while talking to an entertainment portal.

The ‘Dhoom 2’ actress revealed that she was supposed to do ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmaavat’ with the renowned director but he couldn’t get the right ‘Bajirao’ and ‘Khilji’.

“Bajirao Mastani also we were supposed to do together. He didn’t get the Bajirao for me. He didn’t get the Khilji for me; He wanted me to do Padmaavat, but could not get the Khilji for me, at the casting time. So, that’s how it didn’t happen. I would love to work together,’’ Aishwarya told SpotboyE.

The ‘Sarbjit’ actress said that they both loved working with each other and ‘Padmaavat didn’t happen because of casting.

We both loved working with each other, so let’s see, whenever it is meant to be,” Aishwarya was quoted as saying in the video interview.

Interestingly, the roles which were offered to Aishwarya were later portrayed by Deepika Padukone, be it Mastani or Padmavati. Padukone received rave reviews for her performance in the two epic dramas.
