Mumbai: Kartik Aaryan’s exit from Karan Johar’s ‘Dostana 2’ became the talk of the town. Gossip mills are now buzzing with the rumours that the ‘Luka Chuppi’ actor is no longer a part of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Freddy’. The upcoming film, which will be produced by SRK’s production house Red Chillies, also stars Katrina Kaif.  


Aaryan was accused of unprofessionalism and interfering with the script after signing ‘Dostana 2’ and shooting for 20 days. The ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ actor signed ‘Freddy’ in 2020 but the shoot is yet to start due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Speculations are rife that Kartik demanded a change in the script of ‘Freddy’ after signing the dotted lines. What’s the truth behind the rumour of him being ousted from the film? No one from the production house officially confirmed the rumour  but a source associated with the film called it a ‘speculation’.  


When ABP News tried to find out the truth, a source close to the film on condition of anonymity, said, "The rumour about the film and Kartik is nothing but a speculation. The shooting of the film could not start due to COVID-19. We do not know from where the rumour is surfacing. As far as I know everything is on hold and a decision regarding the film will be taken after the pandemic ends. You need to wait and watch."

Ajay Bahl, who helmed 'BA Pass', will direct ‘Freddy’. ABP News has also got to know that Kartik Aryan suggested Bahl'’s name Shah Rukh Khan's company 'Red Chillies'. Ajay Bahl is a good friend of the ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’ actor.  


We also tried to contact Kartik Aryan and Ajay Bahl to know the truth behind the rumours but didn't get a reply till the time of filing the report. Red Chillies is yet to release an official statement regarding the matter. The suspense behind Karthik Aryan’s exit from 'Freddy' has increased further. We have to wait and watch.
