New Delhi: The mythological drama 'Adipurush' seems to be nearing its end of its lifetime theatrical run. On Wednesday, the movie, which has Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Kriti Sanon in the major roles, earned a little over Rs 1.5 crore, which was its lowest day-collection.
The entire domestic revenue for 'Adipurush' in all languages is anticipated to be over Rs 281 crore, according to a report on Sacnilk.com, with a collection of Rs 1.5 crore. Given that 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' released in theatres on Thursday, the movie's chances for success may be at the final stages. The latest Hindi release featuring Kiara Advani and Kartik Aaryan as well as the Netflix original series 'Lust Stories 2' will now be the movie's primary rivals. As a result, it remains uncertain whether 'Adipurush' is going to surpass 300 crore in India.
The Allahabad High Court slammed 'Adipurush' makers on Wednesday for the "very shameful manner" in which the film depicted characters from the Ramayana and urged them to consider the law-and-order issues that would arise if the Quran were presented in the same way.
"Suppose a small documentary was made on the Quran, can you think what kind of a serious law and order problem would have been created. But because of the tolerance of Hindus, things are not turning ugly despite this blunder by filmmakers," said the vacation bench of justices Rajesh Singh Chauhan and Shree Prakash Singh.
The film review on ABP Live reads: One of the most crucial elements of a period drama or mythological movie is the style of speech used to set up the tone and era. The movie fails miserably in that department, to the point where even the scary and grave sequences are met with giggles. It is not on the shoulders of those watching.
Sunny Singh, Devdatta Nage, Vatsal Sheth, Sonal Chauhan, Siddhant Karnick, and Tejaswini Pandit are also featured in 'Adipurush'. In the movie, Prabhas plays Raghava, Kriti plays Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan plays Lankesh.
