So, the actor has recently slammed Bollywood’s top actors who have endorsed fairness creams and beauty products. Abhay extended it and going on to explain the concept of ‘racism’ in our country and how these profit mongers companies are polluting racism everywhere by selling their products using Bollywood actors and influential people.
In "reference to a comment made by a politician on TV"; he may have been taking a swipe at BJP MP Tarun Vijay, who told Al Jazeera last week: "If we were racist, why would we have all the entire south... why do we live with them if we are racist? We have black people around us."
Following the remarks, Abhay posted a series of fairness cream campaigns on Facebook.
Criticising the actors who endorsed the products Abhay took hard on the concept of beauty and questioned all these ads and actors. It triggered a debate in Bollywood industry.
Abhay named Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra for endorsing products promising fair skin.
Sonam Kapoor also reacted to one of the posts she was mentioned by Abhay Deol. She later deleted her posts though, but actors like Abhay Deol are the real heroes who take a call to act against racism and patriarchy in Bollywood.

The actor has also praised who rejected the idea of selling the beauty products. He mentioned on Facebook, ‘Not everyone in my industry is irresponsible’ in his post in which he praised Kangana Ranaut, Ranbir Kapoor, Randeep Hooda and Swara Bhaskar as well.
