The news of Sridevi being awarded at the National film awards has made her family & fans elated. Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi and Khushi have expressed their happiness in a joint statement.
A close friend of Late Sridevi's daughter Khushi Kapoor comforts her and brings smile on her face as they hug!
In the statement, they said, "We are overjoyed to know that the Jury has conferred the Best Actor Award to Sridevi for her performance in ‘MOM’. It’s a very special moment for all of us. She was always a perfectionist and it showed in all the 300 plus films she did. She was not just a Super Actor but a Super Wife and a Super Mom. Its time to celebrate her life and her achievements. She is not with us today but her legacy will always live on.

Sridevi died in her room in Hotel Jemeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai due to "accidental drowning" on February 24 which came as a shock to her family as well as fans.
In her last film 'Mom', Sridevi played the role of a mother of a rape victim, who takes revenge from the rapists. Released last year in July, Sridevi was lauded for her performance in the film directed by Ravi Udyawar.
Coming back to the National Awards, the official ceremony will be held on May 3, where President Ram Nath Kovind will hand-over the awards to the winners.
