Netflix's original ‘Masaba Masaba’ is a web series based on the life of designer Masaba Gupta, who is also the daughter of actress Neena Gupta. It is a semi-autobiography based on the protagonist’s life where instances from her life have been taken into account. Directed and written by Sonam Nair, this show is a perfect one-time watch. The web series which has Masaba Gupta and Neena Gupta in the lead roles, also stars Neil Bhoopalam, Suchitra Pillai, Tanuj Virwani, Shibani Dandekar, and Gajraj Rao.

‘Masaba Masaba’ has six episodes where each episode is approximately half-hour long. Masaba and Neena played the fictionalised version of themselves in the show and aced their characters. The story takes us through Masaba’s journey who runs her own label ‘House Of Masaba’. After her divorce, she moved back to her mother Neena Gupta’s house. The series which is a slice of the mother and daughter’s life takes us down the memory lane where Neena Gupta can be seen attempting to find work at the age of 60. She can be seen carrying a portfolio even after being an established actress.

Apart from all this, Kiara Advani and Farah Khan can be seen doing cameo roles in the web series. Masaba’s divorce and her demons have been well-described. Well, not only the talented actress Neena Gupta but her designer daughter Masaba Gupta has also effortlessly ruled the screen with her acting abilities. Other than portraying the personal life of Masaba, the show also sheds light on the unseen world of the fashion designing industry.

The mother-daughter relationship illustrated in the web series is such that one can instantly connect to. In a nutshell, ‘Masaba Masaba’ is a relatable drama and a perfect one-time watch.
