Maniesh was also shooting for ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’. Others actors from the movie including Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani have fortunately tested negative for the virus.
Varun Dhawan also shared a post confirming he tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday. The ‘October’ actor shared a picture of himself on his Instagram and wrote, “So as I returned to work in the pandemic era I have contracted #covid_19 All precautions were taken by the production but still nothing is certain in life especially not covid-19. So please be extra careful I believe I could have been more careful. I see the get well soon messages and my spirits are high taking each day at a time thank u.”
The makers had plans to shoot in Chandigarh till December 24; however, they had to put the shoot on halt after the actors were diagnosed with COVID-19. The team is expected to resume shoot by mid-December after everyone recovers from coronavirus.
'Jug Jugg Jeeyo' stars Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. The two tinsel town celebs will be portraying a reel-life couple in the flick. The movie also stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Prajkta Kohli and Maniesh Paul in pivotal roles. The makers are yet to announce the film's release date.
