New Delhi: Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez who testified in court in Delhi in the Rs 200 crore extortion case, said that the jailed conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar messed with her emotions and made her life miserable.
Recently, Fernandez made an appearance before Delhi's Patiala House Court to give a testimony. Fernandez was identified in the chargesheet submitted by the Enforcement Directorate in the Rs 200 crore extortion and money laundering case involving Chandrashekhar.
As per a report in Times Now, the actress said in her statement, "Sukesh Chandrashekhar misled me, ruined my career and my livelihood."
The actor claimed the con artist identified himself as the head of Sun TV and claimed J Jayalalithaa, the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu, was his aunt.
Times Now reported that in her statement, Jacqueline admitted to receiving gifts from Sukesh Chandrashekhar. She had allegedly received five luxurious watches, one massage chair, 20 pieces of expensive designer jewellery, 47 pieces of clothing, four expensive Hermes bags and nine paintings.
"Sukesh Chandrashekhar said he was a big fan, and said I should do films in south India too, and as the owner of Sun TV, they had many projects lined up. We should try to work together in south Indian movies. Sukesh misled me, ruined my career and my livelihood," she said in her statement, IANS reported.
The actress also made an allegation on Chandrashekhar's aide Pinky Irani who introduced the conman to Jacqueline as a "government official."
Earlier this week, actress Nora Fatehi also turned witness in the extortion and money laundering case and gave her statement in court in Delhi. She claimed in her statement that the con artist had promised her a large home and a high-class lifestyle if she would become his girlfriend.
Nora, who appeared in well-known Bollywood dance numbers like "Naach Meri Rani" and "Kamariya," claimed that the conman had also asked for favours through his assistant Pinky Irani.
The actor testified in court that she learned Sukesh Chandrashekhar was a con artist after being called by the ED to appear in the case.
