New Delhi: Reality show 'Lock Upp's contestant Munawar Faruqui has been in the limelight for quite many reasons last week. This time again, a revelation by him left audiences stunned and emotional.

The comedian shared how he felt at the time of his arrest last year in Indore for "allegedly insulting Hindu gods and goddesses" during one of his shows.

Munawar added that he was thinking about jokes in his mind about a comedy special at the time of his arrest.

Recently, Faruqui had also revealed a secret on the show 'Lock Upp'. He stated that his mother committed suicide by drinking acid. The revelation left other contestants in tears after Munawar revealed how his mother passed away.

"It was in January 2007 when my grandmother told me 'your mom is not well'. I saw her screaming with stomach ache. Immediately I took her to the emergency and I was told that she had consumed acid. I was taken aback."

"I was holding my mom's hand. Doctors came and said, 'Leave her hand as she is no more," he continued.

In a new promotional clip of the show, fellow contestant Saisha Shinde suggests Munawar to wrote a book about his experiences.

Munawar's reply to the conversation, "I want to write a stand-up." Saisha added, "That you can do anyways, but you should write a book on that experience. People would get so many life lessons that a successful person went through all this." Munawar then responded, "I feel that success is very far right now. I will tell my story after that."
