Late music composer-singer Wajid Khan's wife, Kamalrukh Khan, has moved Bombay High Court against his mother and brother Sajid Khan.
Kamalrukh Khan has moved the court regarding her late husband's will and has sought a permanent injunction against his brother Sajid Khan and his mother.
Reportedly, Wajid had made his will in 2012 and Kamalrukh Khan has claimed that her late husband had named her and their children as the only beneficiaries in Wajid's property.
According to a report in Etimes, the court passed an order asking Sajid Khan and his mother to provide details of the properties. Of the total property worth Rs 16 crore, Wajid Khan owned paintings of famous painters that are valued at Rs 8 crore on the list submitted by Kamalrukh Khan to the court.
Kamalrukh claimed that after she married Wajid in 2003 under the Special Marriage Act, his family never really accepted her and her children as a part of his family.
Wajid’s wife, who has been struggling to get a fair share of her husband’s property since his death now wants to protect her and her children's interest in those properties.
Wajid Khan, of the music composers Sajid and Wajid duo died on June 1 last year at the age of 47 due to Covid-19 complications. Recently on his first death anniversary, his brother Sajid Khan and wife Kamalrukh remembered the late music director on social media.
