New Delhi: Bollywood music composer Wajid Khan from the famous Sajid-Wajid duo breathed his last on June 1, 2020, due to COVID-19 complications. He died at a very early age of 42. The composer had multiple issues and was on a ventilator during his last days. While his family and loved ones are still finding it difficult to come in terms with the loss, his wife Kamalrukh recently opened up about their marriage life during an interaction.

Wajid Khan’s Wife Kamalrukh Khan Alleges Her Husband’s Family Of Harassing Her To Convert To Islam: ‘Felt Betrayed And Devastated’

While in interaction with YouTuber Ujjawal Trivedi, Kamalrukh was quoted saying, “Wajid was a wonderful man, a talented musician, but if there was one flaw in him, it was this: he wasn’t strong-minded. He could be easily influenced, especially in matters of faith. We used to fight about this, even after we had two kids. This was the narrative, day in and day out. The last straw was when he threatened to divorce me if I didn’t convert. This was in 2014.”

“He used to leave and stay at his mother’s house, sometimes for months on end. When he threatened to divorce me, I said ‘fine, let’s go ahead’. Even in court, I made my case about being under pressure to convert. His career was at stake, which is why this never came out in the public, but this had been going on since 2014”, Wajid’s wife added.

Speaking about his last days, Kamalrukh revealed that the last days of his life ‘were very sad’ as he couldn’t meet his family because of COVID-19.

Last month, Wajid’s wife revealed in an Instagram post about their marital life saying that she was in a courtship with the late music composer for more than 10 years before tying the knot. In the post, she also penned down the difficulties she faced in an inter-caste marriage.
