New Delhi: Zee TV’s popular show, Kundali Bhagya, has offered some rather interesting twists to its viewers over the past few weeks. Shakti Arora, who plays the role of Arjun Suryavanshi in the show, has been the reason for several ups and downs in Preeta (Shraddha Arya) – Rishabh Luthra’s (Manit Joura) lives. While Shakti has been having a great time shooting these topsy-turvy sequences, new twists and turns are intriguing audiences to an extent, the audience will be surprised to know what comes next.

Apart from celebrating his successful contribution to the show, Shakti is giving us another reason to celebrate as he completes 20 years in the television industry! In the last 20 years, Shakti Arora has become a popular household name in the industry and has been loved even more after making his grand comeback in television with the family drama show ‘Kundali Bhagya’.

Not many are aware that he has faced times in his life when finding a role was challenging and between the years 2004-2006 he was running a Gift and Toy shop in Lokhandwala, Mumbai parallel to trying his luck in an acting career. However, he believes that people should not become complacent in their lives and should always strive to improve and challenge themselves. Keeping this positive spirit high, Shakti completed twenty years successfully in the TV industry and he is thankful to Ekta Kapoor for giving him a break in the industry with Pavitra Rishta and now, Kundali Bhagya.

Talking about his journey, Shakti shared, “I completed twenty years in the television industry and I think it has been a roller coaster ride. I am so glad and happy to be a part of this wonderful and magnificent fraternity which has blessed me with fame, recognition, love, support, and a platform to showcase my talent. I still remember it took a lot of effort to play my first character as I had to understand and get into the skin of the character, but I truly enjoyed the role.”

He further added, “I believe this journey includes a lot of people to thank who have been there with me throughout. To start with, I want to thank the most beautiful people in my life - my parents and my wife, who have been there with me through thick and thin. They have given me unconditional love and support and without them, this journey wouldn’t have been possible. I have a special connection with Ekta Kapoor because she gave me my biggest break and made me a household name. Therefore, I am and will always be truly grateful to her for always believing in me. I am extremely grateful for all the shows that I have done to date, and Kundali Bhagya is one of the most special ones. TV has given me an opportunity to explore my boundaries as an artist. It's been an amazing journey so far and I hope the audience keeps showering me with their love.”

Kundali Bhagya airs every Monday to Friday at 9.30 pm on Zee TV.
