New Delhi: Aespa's Karina and actor Lee Jae-wook have officially called it quits. Five weeks after going public, the couple—whose relationship triggered controversy with a "dating apology"— has split up. Tenasia revealed in an exclusive report that the emotional strain inflicted on by the hate comments was the reason for the breakup.

The management company C-JeS Studios, which represents Lee Jae-wook, confirmed the breakup as well. The actor ended the relationship to concentrate on his current work, according to the agency.
In a statement to SPOTV, the agency said, “Actor Lee Jae Wook decided to end the relationship in order to focus on his work that he is currently filming. The two will remain good colleagues and support one another. They will greet their fans with good activities through their respective avenues in the future. Please show your interest and support.”

On February 27, South Korean media outlet Dispatch confirmed the couple's relationship. According to the report, on January 14, the couple reportedly met during a Prada fashion show in Milan. The rumours gained weight with regular get-togethers and late-night strolls in Lee Jae-wook's neighbourhood. The agencies of both stars promptly confirmed the report.
Karina had earlier penned an apology letter to her "unhappy" fans, who were so offended at the way the dating news was leaked that they started a boycott movement against her.

Actor Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol called it quits on their love affair after facing criticism from fans who it a "transit relationship."
