Japan, which has one of the largest K-pop fan bases, is also home to a huge number of Jin's solo stans, which has added to the tremendous reception. The oldest BTS member, who has an enormous global appeal, was quickly acquired by the Italian fashion house. Gucci's Japanese website briefly crashed due to excessive traffic after the official announcement, which excited the fan base.

The post on X read, “The House is delighted to begin a new creative journey with #Jin from @BTS_twt as the award-winning artist joins the #Gucci family as its new Global Brand Ambassador.”

Soon after, fans took to the internet to express their joy, pointing out that the reaction in Japan is almost certain when it comes to Jin. An hour after the vocalist was named their brand ambassador, the website had an unheard-of spike in traffic that caused a brief crash, according to AllKpop.

All seven BTS members are now global ambassadors for famous luxury brands following the recent announcement. While RM is the brand ambassador of Bottega Veneta, Jin has joined Gucci and Fred Joaillier. Prior to the contract switching to only him, all seven members of the group had been ambassadors for Louis Vuitton, which J-Hope currently represents. Jungkook is the face of Calvin Klein Jeans, Suga is with Valentino and NBA, Jimin is with Dior and Tiffany & Co., while V represents Celine and Cartier.
