The group had earlier unveiled JUMP with a powerful live performance during the opening show of their DEADLINE World Tour at Goyang Stadium in Seoul. Fans lauded the high-energy stage and were eager for the visuals that the official music video would bring. However, when the teaser was shared this week, the excitement turned into concern.

Teaser Visuals Spark AI Concerns

A wave of reactions on Reddit and other social media platforms indicates growing scepticism among fans who believe parts of the teaser might have been created using generative AI. One user highlighted a particular frame showing a billboard with all four BLACKPINK members, claiming the visuals appeared overly edited and unrecognisable.

The image, now circulating widely, has become a key talking point in the debate over AI’s increasing role in K-pop.

Although there’s been no official word from the production team regarding the use of AI in the JUMP MV, the teaser has sparked a broader conversation online. Many fans are expressing frustration, suggesting that AI-generated content in music videos undermines the creativity and effort of real artists and illustrators.

Some fans argue that the growing reliance on AI might compromise the authenticity and emotional impact of music videos. “By choosing tech over talent, companies risk losing the heart of what makes K-pop so impactful, its human touch,” wrote one fan on X (formerly Twitter).
