New Delhi: The sudden death of Moonbin devastated the K-pop industry. Everyone was surprised to hear of the pop star's untimely death at the age of 25. Singer and member of K-Pop boy band ASTRO, Moonbin, was discovered dead in his Seoul flat on April 19. The music star's mother has now spoken out about all the misinformation and rumours surrounding her son's death via his management company, Fantagio. The message was released on the fan club's official website.

The late idol Moonbin's mother has spoken out to express gratitude to people who have been grieving the loss of her son and to encourage the media to refrain from spreading rumours about him. The formal statement from Moonbin's mother was submitted by Moonbin's agency, Fantagio. She also spoke about how tough it is for a mother to read such "false rumours."

In her statement, she said, "I am writing this message with the intention of addressing the issue of baseless rumours started by some online minorities."

She added, "These kinds of rumors are so difficult for me to see as a mother, and I am also worried that because of these false rumors, many people will suffer damages, and the fans who have been grieving for my son might suffer heartbreak."

"I don't want my son to become fodder for gossip, and I entreat you to please not start any more rumors or spread unconfirmed facts. I don't want the fans whom Bin loved so dearly to live on with broken hearts. I sincerely thank all of you for your heartfelt mourning," she concluded.

The six-member group Astro debuted in February 2016. Earlier this year, Rocky quit the company when his contract with the agency had ended. After Moonbin's death, there are now just MJ, JinJin, Cha Eunwoo, and Sanha.
