New Delhi: Jaya Bachchan has a reputation for being quite curt with the city's paparazzi. he may not be the most approachable of celebrities while she is being photographed. The senior actress's approach is what Konkona Sen Sharma admires the most about her. Konkona recently told that she admires Jaya Bachchan's stance when she interacts with the paparazzi. In the film 'Laga Chunari Mein Daag' (2007), Konkona Sen Sharma co-starred alongside Jaya Bachchan. In an interview, Konkona recounted her time on the sets with Jaya in Varanasi. Jaya's encounter with the media was another topic Konkana talked about.


The seasoned actress has been seen in viral videos criticising and scolding photographers who take her picture without her consent. Several times, she can be heard telling people not to take pictures or videos of her. While praising Jaya's "no-nonsense approach," Konkona Sen Sharma said that she enjoys seeing her paparazzi footage.


Speaking to ETimes, Konkona said, "She’d (Jaya) tell us a lot of funny stories when we used to chat. I love her attitude even today when she scolds the paparazzi. I love her no-nonsense attitude. I love the way she carries herself with so much dignity, grace and humour. She is one of the gems."


Konkona also said that she felt "loved and protected" by Jaya. "I also have wonderful memories of her from Laga Chunari Mein Daag. We were shooting in Benaras (Varanasi) for so long. It was early in my career and it was one of the longest outdoor shoots. So, I was naturally homesick. She took me under her wings. And I will always be grateful. Of course, Dada (Pradeep Sarkar) and Rani (Mukerji) were fab. But Jaya di was special. I felt loved and protected by her warmth," said the actress.


On the work front, Konkona Sen Sharma was last seen in Aasmaan Bhardwaj's directorial debut, 'Kuttey'.
