New Delhi: 'KGF: Chapter 2' is performing better at the box office than the Eid weekend releases: 'Runway 34' and 'Heropanti 2'. While many had hoped that Ajay Devgn starrer 'Runway 34' and Tiger Shroff's action-entertainer 'Heropanti 2' will bring in good numbers on the extended weekend, the box office collections of the three films have proved otherwise.

Yash starrer 'KGF: Chapter 2' is still minting money at the box office. The film released on 14th April when successful films like SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' and Vijay's 'Beast' were running in theatres and superseded their business in no time.

According to film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, 'KGF 2' will cross the business of 'Dangal' in its third Wednesday since release. The film also benefited massively from the extended Eid holiday weekend.

"#KGF2 is the biggest beneficiary on #Eid holiday... Biz, expectedly, jumps again... Should cross #Dangal today [third Wed]... Countdown begins for ₹ 400 cr... [Week 3] Fri 4.25 cr, Sat 7.25 cr, Sun 9.27 cr, Mon 3.75 cr, Tue 9.57 cr. Total: ₹ 382.90 cr. #India biz. #Hindi," he wrote.

While 'KGF: Chapter 2's business in the Hindi belt is about to cross 400 crores, thanks to the push this Eid, other films like 'Runway 34' and 'Heropanti' have failed to make a mark.

Both films were touted as Eid weekend releases. There was also a lot of hype around them. Despite the promotions and the hype, they have failed to capitalize on the box office this weekend.

Taran Adarsh also shared the status of the two films. He tweeted, "The #Eid holiday hasn’t benefitted the two new releases [#Runway34 and #Heropanti2]… #Runway34 - riding on favourable word of mouth and appreciation - did witness growth, but the overall total remains low… #Heropanti2, expectedly, is rejected."

KGF 2,

'Heropanti 2' and 'Runway 34' released on 29th April 2022. While word of mouth reviews for 'Runway 34' have gotten some business for the Ajay Devgn film, 'Heropanti 2' hasn't done well.
