New Delhi: A case has been registered against six people, including a station house officer (SHO) in Uttar Pradesh’s Lalitpur, for allegedly raping a minor girl, news agency ANI reported. The case has been registered at the Pali police station. 


According to a report by ANI, the 13-year-old Dalit girl was lured by four youth and taken to Bhopal on April 2 and was allegedly raped there. The girl somehow managed to escape and reached her home. When she went to file a complaint with the police, the station house officer allegedly raped the teenager before handing her over to the Childline Welfare committee, the police told ANI. 


On being questioned by the Childline Welfare Committee officials, the victim narrated the whole incident. Following which, the Childline Welfare Committee reached out to the Lalitpur Superintendent of Police.

The SP immediately filed a gang rape case against six people, including SHO Tilakdhari Saroj. 


SP Nikhil Pathak said that the SHO has been suspended and a team has been constituted to arrest the other accused. 


“A minor has been allegedly raped by four boys on April 22. When she was brought to the police station, the SHO raped her as well. A case has been registered against six accused, including the SHO who has been suspended,” SP Pathak told media. 


“One accused has been arrested and he is being interrogated. The SHO including the others accused is absconding. They will be arrested soon," added the SP.
