New Delhi: ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’ is one of the biggest reality shows on television. Hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, this show has been grabbing millions of eyeballs with its intellectual content. The show aired its grand finale episode yesterday on January 22, 2021.
The last episode was quite special as Param Vir Chakra awardees Kargil War Veterans Subedar Major Yogendra Singh Yadav and Subedar Sanjay Kumar graced the Hot Seat with their presence. They won prize money of Rs 25 lakhs and were saluted by the host of the show Amitabh Bachchan for their selfless service to the nation.
Big B’s popular television show paid a tribute to the Indian Army during its last episode. The war heroes shared their stories on the show and what challenging situations they face while protecting the country from enemies. It invoked a sense of patriotism amongst the viewers as the Param Vir Chakra awardees played the game. Subedar Major Yogendra Singh Yadav and Subedar Sanjay Kumar won prize money of Rs 25 lakhs on the grand finale episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’.
Reportedly, both of them will donate the winning amount to the Army Battle Casualties Welfare Fund (ABCWF).
Meanwhile, ‘KBC 12’ got four crorepatis this season and all of them being women contestants. Nazia Naseem, who hails from Ranchi, Jharkhand, was the first contestant of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’ to take home Rs 1 crore. She currently works as a communication manager. Mohita Sharma, a 31-year-old IPS officer also won the jackpot amount of Rs 1 crore on ‘KBC 12’ while Anupa Das, a teacher by profession took home Rs 1 crore in Amitabh Bachchan’s popular quiz show. Neha Shah, who is a doctor by profession has been serving the country as a frontline warrior in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a proud moment for everyone when she won the prize money of Rs 1 crore on ‘KBC 12’ and expressed her wish to open her own clinic - a mini-hospital kind of setup to treat her patients with utmost care.
