New Delhi: Newly married Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal celebrated Karwa Chauth for the first time this year. Vicky’s parents, Sham and Veena Kaushal were there to share in the joy. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Katrina talked about her first Karwa Chauth experience. She said, “The moon was going to be seen in Mumbai at 9:01 and it was not seen, I think, till 9:35. And it’s almost like your mind is prepared for what is expected, but after 9 to 9:30, I was like, ‘I’m hungry! I’m really, really hungry!”
Katrina also praised Vicky's commitment to fasting alongside her on Karwa Chauth. She thought it was "the sweetest thing."
She revealed, “The sweetest thing was that, of course, Vicky was also fasting. Yes, he also fasted. That, he wouldn't… I'm sure he wouldn't have [let me do it alone], and he didn't even… it's not like I asked him to do it all. I didn't say anything. He did it himself, so that was sweet and of course, our… his parents were also over, so it was our first… because it was our first year of marriage, there's pooja which happens and all that. So, that was lovely."
Vicky and Katrina tied the knot in Rajasthan on December 9, 2021, at the Six Senses Resort, Fort Barwara. Many loved ones and friends were present for their wedding festivities.
On the work front, Katrina Kaif has a number of highly anticipated films scheduled for release in the near future. Kat, Ishaan Khatter, and Siddhant Chaturvedi are ready for the release of ‘Phone Bhoot’ on 4th November. Katrina will also co-star with Vijay Sethupathi in ‘Merry Christmas’ and with Salman Khan in ‘Tiger 3’.
