New Delhi: Kartik Aaryan attended a cancer prevention awareness drive called 'Nidarr Hamesha' on February 23rd at Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital. Kartik grabbed the stage during the occasion and spoke openly about his mother's fight with the life-threatening condition.
Kartik's mum, Mala Tiwari was battling cancer while he was filming for Luv Ranjan's film. The actor turned to social media to commemorate the four-year anniversary of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety alongside his mother and other cancer sufferers.
He also became emotional when he recalled his mother's battle with this dreadful cancer. The mother-son combo can be seen dancing on stage with other cancer survivors in a video shared on Kartik's Instagram account.
Kartik captioned the video, “From going for chemotherapy sessions during the shoot of these songs, to now dancing on stage on the same- The journey has been arduous! But her Positivity , Fortitude and Fearlessness kept us going. Today i can proudly say: My Mom fought the battle against cancer and WON. And for that we are all stronger. I am so so proud of you Mummy and I pay my respects to all the people who could not make it and to all the people who have shown courage fighting this disease.”
He spoke up about his mother being a cancer survivor and while discussing her struggle, he remarked, “It was a very emotional time for all of us, but I am so proud of my mom that she conquered this disease.”
He also underlined the necessity of undergoing regular health check-ups so that the condition may be recognised, diagnosed, and treated at an early stage before it becomes dangerous.
