New Delhi: Kareena Kapoor Khan is back with her podcast show 'What Women Want'. Recently, the 'Laal Singh Chaddha' actor interacted with comedian-actor Kapil Sharma on her show. Kapil's latest film 'Zwigato' has been released in theatres. On the chat show, Kapil spoke about his personal life, how Twitter caused an upheaval in his life and his real-life persona.
When Kareena spoke about Kapil Sharma's controversies on Twitter; the comedian opened about his 'allegedly' drunken tweet to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "Main kabhi Twitter wali chidiya se mila to nahi hun but inhone mere toote uda diya ( I have never even met the bird in Twitter sign and yet they messed up my life)," he told Kareena.
When Kareena asked Kapil if he was romantic in real life, Kapil jokingly remarked, "Do bachche hain, hamane download thode hi kiye hai (I haven’t downloaded my two kids).”
Kapil Sharma also spoke about being referred to as an everyman on many occasions. Talking about his everyman persona, he said, "Pata nahi ye mere liye compliment hai but keheti hai tumhara mooh bada common hai ( I don't know if this is a compliment but I have been told that I have a common face)".
Recently, Kareena's cousin Ranbir Kapoor was seen on her chat show around the release of his film 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar'.
Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma had explained his Twitter controversy in detail on his Netflix special episode where he recalled how OB vans had lined up outside his house and he asked his cook, "Is there a fire?” who in response answered, “You set fire to Twitter last night.”
Kapil then explained how to escape the escalation, he had retreated to Maldives to get away from the fire of the controversy. "I left for the Maldives instantly, I lived there for 8-9 days. The moment I reached Maldives, I asked them for a room with no internet. They asked, ‘Have you got married?’ I replied, ‘No, I just tweeted.’ My stay cost me Rs 9 lakhs, which I didn’t even spend on my education. That one line costed me that much,” he revealed, adding, “I want to sue Twitter.”
