New Delhi: Chethana Raj, a Kannada TV industry actress, died at the age of 21 due to complications post a cosmetic surgery. Her parents have accused doctors of the hospital where she underwent her surgery of 'negligence'. Reportedly, Chethana had not informed her parents about the 'fat-free' cosmetic surgery.

Chethana Raj underwent a 'fat-free' cosmetic surgery at a private hospital with the name of Dr Shetty's Cosmetic Centre in Bengaluru's Rajajinagar on May 16.

Post the procedure, the actress complained of some breathing difficulties post which she was shifted to the Kaade Hospital in Manjunath Nagar where  the doctors declared she brought dead. A HT report suggests that she was shifted to the Kaade Hospital because there was no ICU in the Cosmetic centre.

According to reports, the doctors at the Kaade Hospital suggested that Chethana suffered a cardiac arrest. They tried to revive her through a CPR which went on for about 45 minutes after having found 'no pulse' in her when she was brought to the hospital.

Local media reports also suggest that Chethana had not informed her parents about her cosmetics procedure before she got admitted to the hospital. Apparently, she had gone there with her friends.

Chethana's parents have filed a negligence complaint against the cosmetic centre's hospital committee with the police.

Meanwhile, Chethana's body will be shifted to the MS Ramaiah Hospital for post mortem analysis to ascertain the cause of her death.

Chethana had worked on popular daily soaps like 'Geetha' and 'Doresani'.
