Actor Kamal Haasan who plays the lead in Lokesh Kanakaraj's action entertainer 'Vikram' gifted the director a Lexus car in order to celebrate the success of the film. 'Vikram' also stars actors Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi. 'Vikram' is collecting huge numbers at the box office ever since it's release.


Earlier on Sunday, June 5, Lokesh Kanakaraj shared a heartwarming post on Twitter that read, "I haven’t been this emotional ever.The acceptance u’ve showed #Vikram and me has been so overwhelming.I don’t know how i’m gonna repay you guys for all this love.Ever grateful to @ikamalhaasan sir and my amazing people. So moved. Love you all 🙏🏻🙏🏻"


To which Kamal Haasan wrote, "The only way you can do any debt management with a loving audience is to never become complacent. Do  honest back breaking work, they love and respect  that. My energy comes from their love.All power to your endeavors. RKFI will proudly support you like we did this time. Rock on."



'Vikram's is receiving rave reviews from audiences and critics. 


Tamil filmmaker Venkat Prabhu also took to his official Twitter handle to thank Lokesh for bringing to screen 'the Kamal Haasan' he loved and worshippped on screen. "Thanks a lot @Dir_Lokesh for bringing the same #ulaganayagan of ours whom we worshipped and loved on screen to this new generation!! Witnessed the magic after a long time again. Love u @ikamalhaasan saar #Vikram," his post read.



Suriya Sivakumar, who appears in only the last three minutes of 'Vikram' also penned a note for legend Kamal Haasan on Twitter.



Besides prominent filmmakers and actors shrong rav reviews on social media, fans excitememt has hit the roof as the box office records show.


'Vikram' has also broken many box office records by earning Rs 33 crores on its first day of release. Since then, it is setting and creating new benchmarks for a small regional film that released with the likes of pan-India films like 'Samrat Prithviraj' and 'Major;.


'Vikram' also earned Rs 100 crores in just three days of release where films like 'Samrat Prithviraj' and 'Major' are still on their way to make an entry into the coveted 100 cr club.
