New Delhi: TV personality, author and activist Padma Lakshmi, who is of Indian descent, did not hold back while responding to internet trolls who made derogatory comments about her physical appearance. The 'Top Chef' star reportedly addressed online haters who criticise her body when she's in the kitchen on the red carpet of the Time 100 Gala, as reported by aceshowbiz.com.

This actress proudly proclaimed, "I have b**bs, I have nippl*s! So does every woman and man on the planet." Padma, wearing a beautiful flowing dress with a high slit, told Page Six on April 26.

Padma said, "I think we should just be a little more grown-up about it, and also just accept that a woman's body is beautiful and a not totally perfect and stuff and filtered and everything."

Padma has taken a lot of heat for what she's wearing in the kitchen; many aren't happy about it. Earlier this year, she criticised a fan who became furious at her for making breast-related jokes. One internet user remarked, "As a mom of 4 daughters, there's a time and a place and when it starts making our daughters uncomfortable because we are being objectified, time to take notice."

Padma quickly shot back, "First of all it's a JOKE. And my daughter isn't uncomfortable with me or my boobs or my posts, nor does she read these comments unless I show her because she isn't on social media."

In 2020, Padma Lakshmi was also called out for not wearing a bra during a video of her cooking lesson. She then posted a video of herself preparing lasagna without a bra during the quarantine on Instagram, writing, (I got some comments last time that it was immoral for me to not wear a bra in my own kitchen during the quarantine."

"So those people should be happy to note that I'm wearing two today) But seriously, let's not police women's bodies in 2020 ok?"
