New Delhi: Rishi Kapoor's death over two years ago was a huge loss to Indian cinema. Since then, there has been a void in the entertainment world. In his last film, Sharmaji Namkeen, Javed Akhtar praised his pal’s performance.  


Rishi Kapoor's most recent film, ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’, opened to positive reviews on March 31. After Rishi Kapoor's death, the project calls for Paresh Rawal to fill in for the renowned actor's portions that remained unfinished. 


Javed Akhtar, a well-known lyricist, gave his thoughts on the picture. A recent viewing of Sharmaji Namkeen left him speechless. Javed wrote on Twitter,  “Watched Sharma ji Namkeen . So well  written and directed . Thank you Paresh Rawal saheb for your most unusual and great contribution . Now my friend Chintu , ultimately it is your show . You have hit the last ball out of the stadium . Tell me ,why we all won’t miss you for ever” 



It is a film about a guy who has retired and is seeking a new purpose in life. ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ In the midst of his passion and society's restrictions, he finds a purpose in cooking. Even though he follows his love for cooking, his family is humiliated by his job.



Sharmaji Namkeen is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment. Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha, and Isha Talwar also feature in this heartwarming tale.
