New Delhi: Television actress Jasmin Bhasin is known for her endearing personality. The reality TV series Bigg Boss catapulted her to fame and opened doors for her professional fate, but it also made her a frequent victim of online harassment and abuse.

Jasmin Bhasin said in an interview with News18 that she has been threatened with rape and death after leaving Bigg Boss. When asked about it, she remarked, “Leave alone trolling, people hurled such toxic abuses at me when I left the Bigg Boss house. I received death and rape threats. And for what? Just because I did a show and they didn’t like me in it?”

She further said, “What I faced was very serious. All of that affected me mentally at some point. But I got over it with medical help and my friends and family who love me.”

Jasmin now ignores online bullies without giving them any attention. She disclosed, “Today, I don’t even come to know if anyone is trolling me. I’m in a place today where I receive a lot of love and many perks. Trolling is a very small part of it. I choose to ignore it. If people love me, I’ll return that love. If they hate me, that’s their choice. They can express themselves all they want but I’ll ignore them because I don’t need to know about it. I’m anyway very busy in life.”

She also claimed trolls are unemployed and lack the courage to say things directly.

Meanwhile, Bhasin has collaborated with her rumoured lover and close friend Aly Goni on a music video for the remake of the classic RD Burman song ‘Sajaunga Lutkar Bhi.’ The video premiered on the Saregama Music YouTube account on 29th of August.
