Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali celebrated his 58 th birthday on Wednesday. The much-awaited teaser of ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ starring Alia Bhatt in lead role was unveiled on Bhansali’s birthday and fans have been praising ever since. Later in the evening SLB hosted a birthday bash at his residence and it was attended by Alia Bhatt, Meezaan Jaffery, Sharmin Segal, Ismail Darbar and others.
Meezaan took to his Instagram story and shared a glimpse of Bhansali’s birthday bash. In the video, Alia can be seen cheering for the director and helping him with the cake. Bhansali can be seen cutting a pullover chocolate cake. For the birthday bash alia opted for a white one-shoulder top with matching pants.
Meanwhile, before celebrating the birthday, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia striked a pose for the shutterbugs outside the venue where Alia recreated her ‘Gangubai’ pose for the media. She was seen enjoying all the praise coming her way from the photographers.
‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is all set to release in theatres on July 30. The film will face a clash with Prabhas starrer ‘Radhe Shyam’.
