New Delhi: ZEE5 released the ‘India Lockdown’ trailer by Madhur Bhandarkar on Thursday. The video depicts the first few days of the Covid-19 outbreak, when the government ordered a nationwide lockdown for 21 days. The trailer will give you the shivers since it accurately portrays the horrors of that period of pure anarchy. The screenplay, co-written by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, and directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, will focus on four individuals and the upheaval that a sudden change in circumstance generates in their lives.

Director Madhur Bhandarkar posted the trailer of the film on Twitter and wrote, “The tragedy you know, the untold stories you don't!”

The preview takes viewers back to March 2020 when everyone was still trying to adjust to the new norms. Visions of deserted streets, people wearing masks, and officials equipped with PPE kits may bring to mind scenes from your darkest nightmares. All four stories progress in tandem, and Bhandarkar's trailer alludes to the range of feelings.

We see a housekeeper being fired, a sex prostitute doubting the severity of Covid-19, migrants making the long return trip to their town, etc. Overall, the movie aims to provide an uncensored look at the darkest aspects of the covid epidemic.

Madhur Bhandarkar announced the movie in 2021. The last movie he directed, Babli Bouncer, starring Tamannaah Bhatia released on Disney+Hotstar, was a commercial failure. The last movie he directed, ‘Babli Bouncer’, starring Tamannaah Bhatia, was a commercial failure.
