IFFM Awards 2022: Ranveer Singh And Shefali Shah Bag The Best Actor Award, Check Full List Here
While Ranveer Singh won the award for his stellar performance in the biopic '83', Shefali Shah took home the award for her iconic portrayal in 'Jalsa'.
New Delhi: With the 13th Indian Film Festival at Melbourne, Australia, beginning on August 12, several popular celebrities of B-town were spotted attending the same. Among the many major highlghts, the Award night held on August 14 was enthralling as Ranveer Singh and Shefali Shah bagged the awards in the best actor (male and female) category. While Ranveer Singh won the award for his stellar performance in the biopic '83', Shefali Shah took home the award for her iconic portrayal in 'Jalsa'.
The Awards function was held at Palais Theatre in Australia and was hosted by actor Rithvik Dhanjani. Several other films and web-series were honoured at the film festival. Despite receiving several nominations, Alia Bhatt's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' and Suriya's 'Jai Bhim', that earned big at the box office, failed to get any award.

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne Awards will continue till August 20. It will also be accessible virtually from August 13- August 30. The festival will screen more than 100 critically acclaimed films in over 23 languages, this year. It was officially flagged off by Bollywood celebrities Abhishek Bachchan, Vaani Kapoor, Tamannah Bhatia, Taapsee Pannu, Shefali Shah, Sona Mohapatra, Anurag Kashyap, Rithvik Dhanjani, Kabir Khan, Aparna Sen, Nikkhil Advani and Shoojit Sircar.
