New Delhi: 'Khalasi' or the 'Gotilo' song has been creating quite some buzz ever since its release on Coke Studio Bharat. On YouTube alone, the song by Achint Thakkar and Aditya Gadhvi, has been streamed more than 34 million times. While many like us curious readers have found that the Gotilo song( Khalasi) tells the story of the limitless sailor who sets out to explore the shores of Gujarat, everyone seems to want to know more about Gotilo's lyrics and the meaning.
As per the official synopsis, on Coke Studio India's YouTube channel, "The song speaks of his tenuous, adventurous voyage, his delightful experiences and his enthusiasm with which he takes on life while he is sailing away!"
The 'Khalasi' song has been sung by music composer Achint Thakkar whose musical elements are genrally inspired from the 70’s music scene. Achint is accompanied by Aditya Gadhvi, singer from Gujarat, who has also sung in several Indian languages.
