New Delhi: Grammy-winner and American Idol star Mandisa was found dead at her homw on Franklin, Tennessee. She was 47. The artist allegedly died under mysterious circumstances. The Franklin Police Department has opened an investigation into the mysterious death occurence and the circumstances around her passing.

Mandisa career
Mandisa rose to fame after she participated in 'American Idol' Season 5 in 2006, where she sang and entertained audiences alongside winner Taylor Hicks.
She released her debut album 'True Beauty' in 2007 following her success on the show, that began her career in Christian music.

Over the years, Mandisa collaborated with artists like TobyMac, Jon Reddick, Kirk Franklin, Matther West, Jordan Feliz, Michael W. Smith and more, many of whom aways lauded the singer.
Mandisa's 2022 memoir 'Out of the Dark: My Journey Through the Shadows to Find God's Joy' chronicled her experience with anxiety and depression after she lost a close fried to cancer, which she referred to as a 'deep dark' period of her life.

Mandisa was a celebrated singer with multiple Grammy Awards under her belt. She won the Grammys in the categories of Contemporary Christian Music Album, Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album, and Best Gospel/Contemporray Christian Music Performance in 2010, 2012, and 2014.
