New Delhi: 'Oppenheimer' won several awards at the Golden Globes 2024 today. From winning best actor and best director accolades, the Nolan film also won for the best music score. Apart from 'Oppenheimer', 'Barbie' won in a new category and the best original song category. Emma Stone-starrer 'Poor Things' also won the Best Screenplay award. Meanwhile, Lily Gladstone won the Best Female Actor award for 'Killers of the Flower Moon'. Emma Stone also won the best actor( female) award in a comedy or musical picture.


Cillian Murphy edged out Bradley Cooper for ‘Maestro’, Leonardo DiCaprio for ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’, Colman Domingo for ‘Rustin’, Andrew Scott for ‘All of Us Strangers’ and Barry Keoghan for ‘Saltburn’.


The official X handle congratulated the actor and wrote: “Congratulations to Cillian Murphy in Oppenheimer on your WIN for Best Male Actor – Motion Picture – Drama! #GoldenGlobes.”


Auteur Christopher Nolan was feted with the honour for Best Director - Motion Picture for his period drama ‘Oppenheimer’.


Nolan beat Bradley Cooper for ‘Maestro’, the tough competitor Greta Gerwig for ‘Barbie’, Yorgos Lanthimos for ‘Poor Things’, the legendary Martin Scorsese for ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ and Celine Song for ‘Past Lives’.


Robert Downey Jr. also took home the Globe for Best Actor in a supporting role.


Actress Emma Stone was honoured with the title of Best actress – musical or comedy at the ongoing Golden Globe Awards.


She was feted for her work in the science fantasy black comedy film ‘Poor Things’.


Other nominees included Fantasia Barrino for ‘The Color Purple’, Jennifer Lawrence for ‘No Hard Feelings’, Natalie Portman for ‘May December’, Alma Poysti for ‘Fallen Leaves’ and Margot Robbie for ‘Barbie’.


The French courtroom drama thriller 'Anatomy of a Fall' also won the title of Best Screenplay -- Motion Picture at the currently underway 81st Golden Globe Awards.


The award went to Justine Triet and Arthur Harari. Justine Triet took to the stage to accept the award on behalf of her team.


The official 'X' account congratulated them as they wrote, "Congrats to Justine Triet and Arthur Harari for their Best Screenplay -- Motion Picture win for Anatomy of a Fall! #GoldenGlobes."



The 81st Golden Globe Awards happened at the Beverly Hills, California.
