New Delhi: David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston, stars of popular sitcom Friends, teamed up for an Uber Eats Super Bowl 2024 commercial. The superhit TV programme featured the two celebrities as on-again, off-again lovers for ten seasons. However, in this advertisement, Aniston, who portrayed Rachel, appears to have forgotten about Schwimmer, who played her boyfriend Ross. As a result, their first encounter gets a little awakward.
Schwimmer runs into Aniston in the advertisement, but it appears like she doesn't recognise him and doesn't feel comfortable giving him a hug in return. He is then put in an awkward situation as he tries to tell her that they have actually been working together for a long time, but she wonders, "Have we met?" We worked together for ten years, he adds, but she still can't recall him. She responds, "You look great," to which he responds, "You still don't know, do you?"
After spending so much time with someone, Aniston is shown leaving and wondering how she could ever forget them. She snubs him, saying, "Like I'd forget 10 years of my life," and he responds, "I hate this town."
Fans Hail Ross And Rachel's Reunion
Fans of the well-known TV series were moved by the "Ross and Rachel reunion," and they showered the post's comments area with heartfelt sentiments as they reminisced. "The one where Ross & Rachel reunite," "Maybe Jennifer didn't remember David because they were on a break? 🤔🥹," and "Jen and David is the cure to every bad thing that I needed" were some of the comments left by fans.
In the advertisement, which also stars David Beckham and Victoria, the football player appears to have forgotten the name of the pop group his wife was a member of. Moreover, Usher seemed to have forgotten that he is part of the Super Bowl halftime show.
The reunion of Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer occurs several months following the sudden death of Matthew Perry, their Friends co-star, in October 2023. Perry's funeral was attended by Aniston, Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and Courtney Cox.
