Bollywood has come up with many songs filled with that Holi fervour in recent times like 'Balam Pichkari', 'Badri Ki Dulhaniya' and others, the cult classic songs will still rule the charts. As you gear up to shake a leg to chartbuster Punjabi songs with lively beats, here is a list of some iconic Bollywood songs, without which celebration of the festival of colours is bound to be dull and incomplete.

1. Holi Aayi Re Kanhayi Rang Barse, 'Mother India' 


The song, sung by the iconic singer Shamshad Begum, is a perfect fusion of the festive fervour and rusticity. The song features actors Nargis and Raaj Kumar, enjoying the festival of holi and reminiscing their happier times together.



2. Aaj Na Chodenge Bas Humjoli, Khelenge Hum Holi, 'Kati Patang'


Who can resist the charm of a song that features Bollywood's superstar and legendary actor Rajesh Khanna. The lively song is bound to get everyone in the mood. The idea to play holi breaking all barriers lends a playful mood to the song. The song is sung by the classic duo Kishore Kumar and 'Queen of melody' Lata Mangeshkar.



3. Holi Ke Din Dil Khil Jate Hain, 'Sholay'


Holi celebrations are incomplete without this iconic song from a one-of-its-kind film 'Sholay'. Featuring Hema Malini, Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan, there has not been a match for this song, till date. The perfect family song that will bring everybody on the dance floor, 'Holi Ke Din Dil Khil Jate Hain' will always be in the top ten list. 



4. Rang Barse, 'Silsila'


What are holi celebrations without this fiesty song featuring Bollywood's 'Shehanshah' Amitabh Bachchan and the ever graceful Rekha from the movie, Silsila? Crooned by Amitabh himself, the song sets the perfect tone to splash colours on each other. The song is a must-have even in the younger generation's playlist.



5. Ang Se Ang Lagana Sajan Humein Aise Rang Lagana, 'Darr' 


The song will always remain a classic even after ages. The dholak and the dhol beats synchronised perfectly, give that festive feel to the song, while the lyrics by Anand Bakshi add a dash of romance to the song. It is sung by Alka Yagnik and Vinod Rathod.
