Hema Malini Mourns The Demise Of Her Secretary Of 40 Years Due To COVID-19: ‘A Void That Cannot Be Filled’

Mumbai: Actress and politician Hema Malini, who is popularly known as the ‘Dream Girl’ of Bollywood, bid farewell to her secretary of 40 years. The latter passed away due to COVID-19. Hema Malini shared a post on her social media mourning the demise of her secretary.

Hema Malini shared a post on Twitter and revealed that her secretary was more like a family and that the void can never be filled. She tweeted, “With heavy heart I bid farewell to my associate of 40 yrs, my secretary, dedicated, hard working, tireless Mehta ji. He was more a part of my family We lost him to covid. He is irreplaceable & leaves a void that cannot be filled, ever”.

The ‘Sholay’ actress’ daughter Esha Deol commented on her tweet and penned down an emotional note for Markand Mehta. She wrote, “He will be missed a lot by all of us . He was a member of our family & he is irreplaceable. He was the best for you mamma @dreamgirlhema . What a dedicated human. Will miss you our dearest Mehta uncle. May his soul rest in peace”.

Also, on the occasion of Mother’s Day today, Hema Malini dedicated this day to the moms who are at the frontline in this fight against COVID-19. She tweeted, “Happy Mother’s Day! Moms are also in the forefront of the covid war - they have to take care of wfh families now in addition to their daily routine. All with a spl smile. All the very best to these homebound covid warriors”.

Hema Malini has featured in more than 100 films till now and she was last seen starring in the 2020 film ‘Shimla Mirch’ alongside Rajkummar Rao and Rakul Preet Singh.
