New Delhi: Manushi Chhillar is undoubtedly one of the most influential personalities in the glamour world who is constantly rising up on the ladder of success. Be it representing the country on the international podium to making her name shine in the film industry, Miss World and actor Manushi has always pushed her boundaries to make her presence count that too for a noble cause that serves society as a whole. Time and again, she has been seen extending her arms to help society to strengthen and voice her opinion for the betterment of the nation. 


On her birthday today, let us look at the time when Manushi dwelled in social work and raised her arms for public welfare in different facets. 


Project Shakti


Extending her concern for such a basic yet most important part of women's health, Manushi strived and spent time with ladies who weren't using hygienic goods. Through this project, she decided to advocate for the Beauty With A Purpose initiative by raising menstrual hygiene and awareness. 



Treating more than 5,000 women while travelling to about 20 communities, Manushi and hundreds of other women participated in a 3 KM walk through Delhi's streets on World Menstrual Hygiene Day in 2018.


Working with UNDP for World Health Day


Having always lends her voice to important social issues, Manushi was roped in by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for World Health Day. She worked with UNDP starting from World Health Day and also on World Immunization Week on 7th April 2022 and from 24th to 30th April 2022 respectively.



Manushi Chillar raised awareness about gender-based violence


Manushi partnered with the United Nations women in 2021 to raise awareness about gender-based violence. Seeding her belief that the COVID-19-induced lockdown, which gripped the entire world in early 2020, has led to the rising number of cases of violence against women. 



Manushi Chillar started a social media campaign for proper nutrition


Marking the National Nutrition Week, Manushi started a social media campaign that aimed at raising awareness about eating right and shared her journey with health and nutrition. With some videos on social media, she shared her experience of how she started consuming healthy food to stay fit while she was preparing for the 'Miss India' beauty pageant while studying in college.


Manushi Chillar spreading awareness on coronavirus with UNICEF


It was the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, Manushi joined hands with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to raise awareness about the novel coronavirus and urge people to stay home and practice social distancing to prevent the spread of the highly infectious virus.



Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress will be seen in Tehran next to John Abraham and Operation Valentine with Varun Tej amongst many others.
