Anil Kapoor, who has charmed and entertained fans with his mind blowing performances over the years turned 64 today. Born on December 24, Kapoor ringed his 64th Birthday on the sets of his upcoming film Jug Jugg Jeeyo with wife Sunita Kapoor and the cast members. Meanwhile, the cast and crew of Jug Jugg Jeeyo recently resumed shoot again after a few members of the cast tested positive for COVID-19. Earlier, there were speculations about Kapoor’s ill-health too, but the actor dismissed reports, clarifying that he is COVID-19 negative.

Taking to Instagram stories, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani shared pictures from Anil Kapoor’s Birthday celebrations. The pictures see Kapoor celebrating with his wife Sunita Kapoor and cast, on the sets of Jug Jug Jeeyo. In the picture shared by Varun, Anil Kapoor is spotted cutting a mouth-watering chocolate cake. The cast of Jug Jugg Jeeyo has surrounded the actor during the cake cutting session. Sharing a picture from the short celebration, Kiara Advani wrote, 'Happy Birthday sir,' and wished Kapoor by tagging him in the post.

Daughter Sonam Kapoor shared a stylish picture of the two of them together, and wrote in her caption, 'Happy happy birthday daddy... you’re the most positive, kind , liberal human being, and we are blessed to have your values instilled in us. I miss you so much and I can’t wait to see you in the new year @anilskapoor.'

To coincide with his birthday, his latest film, AK vs AK will be released later in the day on Netflix. In the comic thriller, the actor plays an exaggerated version of himself, opposite director Anurag Kashyap. AK vs AK is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, and follows Anil and Anurag as they lock horns over a single night in Mumbai.

Kapoor subsequently starred in many other critically and commercially successful films, including Meri Jung, Yudh, Karma, Janbaaz, Aap Ke Saath, Mr. India, Ghar Ho To Aisa, Awaargi, Benaam, Dil Dhadakne Do, Nayak, Slumdog Millionaire, Ram Lakhan and Virasat.
