New Delhi: On February 11, Shakun Batra's long-awaited Gehraiyaan, a film highlighting infidelity in modern day relationships was finally released on Amazon Prime Video. The movie starring Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Dhairya Karwa has been getting mixed responses from the audience. Many are calling the film a waste of time, while others are appreciating it by calling it a relatable watch.

Amid the debate, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut also took a dig at the film, two days after the release of Gehraiyaan.

Kangana Ranaut referred to Shakun Batra's movie as "trash." She wrote, “I am also a millennial but I identify and understand this kind of romance…in the name of millennial/new age/urban movies don’t sell trash pls…bad movies are bad movies no amount of skin show or pornography can save it …it’s a basic fact koi gehraiyaan wali baat nahi hai (sic).”

And now the hashtag #BoycottBollwood is trending on Twitter once more. The hashtag has been trending ever since Sushant Singh Rajput's death. And now once again as Gehraiyaan is receiving a mixed response, the late actor's fans have already declared the film flop and are celebrating the failure. Take a look at what fans of Sushant Singh Rajput are saying about 'Gehraiyaan' on Twitter:

Sushant’s fans also tweeted for the arrest of Rhea Chakraborty, who is recovering from the actor's death and returning to work after two years.

Everyone was taken aback by Sushant's unexpected death back in June 2020. But his admirers have remained furious with Bollywood ever since and demand a boycott of the industry.
